Technology to Meet Our Clients' Needs

CGG is committed to pursuing excellence in innovation and aims to be a driving force in the technological advancement of the geophysical industry.
Talented and dedicated teams of scientists, engineers and software programmers are located in CGG centers around the world and tailor technological advancement to meet our clients' needs and provide them with added value. This network of research and development groups increases the value, productivity and capability of our processing services as well as our data acquisition and multi-client surveys.
Technology & InnovationCGG provides an environment conducive to allowing excellent scientists create innovative solutions to difficult problems. Further, CGG invests at least 5% of its turnover into R&D and pursues partnerships and collaborations with external research groups around the world for the purpose of enhancing the overall research effort.
This commitment has resulted in a tradition for pioneering important new technologies over the years.
In 2006 the SEG (Society of Exploration Geophysicists) honored our company with its Distinguished Achievement Award for its contributions to the science of exploration geophysics over the past 75 years. Chairman & CEO, Robert Brunck, said: "It is a real pleasure and honor to receive this prestigious award from the SEG in recognition of our long-standing contribution to the geoscience industry. This represents a wonderful tribute for our 75th anniversary celebration this year and a strong drive for our exciting project to combine forces through CGG and contribute even more strongly to the scientific progress of geophysics in the years to come."
