Investor FAQs

Here are answers to some of the questions we encounter most frequently. If you can't find what you are looking for here, please contact our Investor Relations department.

Japanese Investors

1. Can I subscribe to my rights?

Japanese investors typically cannot participate in the rights issue as we have not registered the offering with Japanese market authorities.

Only a few selected shareholders who would like to subscribe will be allowed to do so on a case by case basis. If you are in this situation, we will need to check with our legal counsel how to proceed and come back to you.

2. Can I sell my subscription rights?

Yes, rights trading will be opened from Friday September 28th until Friday October 12th.

Canadian Investors

1. Can I subscribe to my rights?

Only “accredited investors” from the provinces of Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario and Quebec can participate in the rights issue. If you are based in one of these provinces, you are expected to refer to the Canadian offering memorandum for the exact details on the above restriction. If you have not received this offering memorandum, please contact your usual sales rep at BofAML or Credit Suisse.

2. Can I sell my subscription rights?

Yes, rights trading will be opened from Friday September 28th until Friday October 12th.

ADR Holders

1. I hold ADRs and want to subscribe to my rights, what should I do?

You must make arrangements to exchange your ADRS for ORDs prior to Friday (ex right date). As an alternative, you can purchase rights on the market during the rights trading period (Friday September 28th until Friday October 12th).

2. What will happen to my rights if I can’t subscribe to them?

We expect that the Depositary will sell all rights that it receives in respect of the shares underlying the ADRs, in which case the proceeds will be distributed to the ADR holders. We cannot assure that the Depositary will be able to sell the rights, nor can we give you any assurance as to the price that the Depositary will receive if it sells the rights.

3. Where can I find information on the rights issue?

You will find details on page 5 and 6 of International Offering Memorandum. If you have not received a copy of the IOM, please contact your usual sales rep at BofAML or Credit Suisse.
