Expert, independent advice on the most appropriate satellite imagery (optical, radar) and elevation data products.
The benchmark for petrophysics, rock physics, facies analysis and statistical mineralogy. Collaborative multi-well log analysis made easy for better drilling decisions.
We provide fracture mapping, interpretation and analysis in a variety of lithological and tectonic settings. We primarily use Very High Resolution (VHR) satellite image interpretation but can also integrate client's well, seismic and field data. These methods are applicable to oil and gas exploration and development, as well as carbon sequestration and storage.
The very high resolution of modern satellite data allows a whole range of fracture measurements to be made and in certain cases, if similarly resolving DEM data is available, then joint/fracture orientation and inclination can be measured and 3D analysis provided.
NPA provide a wide range of both statistics and visualisation of fracture datasets, such as orientation, frequency, cumulative length, scale invariance, spatial heterogeneity, mechanical and lithological variability, clustering and intensity. If 3D analysis is possible, then stereograms can also be produced to illustrate the geometries of the systems.
