ROP WheelHobo and Gypsy  are the latest additions to CGG's technologically advanced multi-client data library in West Texas, targeting the Spraberry and Wolfcamp formations of Permian age. These surveys will deliver a full ROP (Reservoir Optimization Package) using our integrated geoscience products including:

  -  Acquisition using our patented EmphaSeis low-frequency vibroseis sweep, starting at 3Hz
  -  5D regularization
  -  OVT (offset-vector-tile) pre-stack time migration
  -  RoqScan™ core/cuttings mineralogical analysis,
  -  Simultaneous and Azimuthal Inversions, to provide a reservoir characterization package of elastic rock properties, fracture information and lithological volumes.

Our ROP reduces risk with the right data; optimizes development with better subsurface understanding, and maximizes recovery with improved well performance.

The final processed time volumes (Orthorhombic  Kirchhoff PreSTM) from our recent wide azimuth Hobo 3D multi-client survey are now available for license, representing a new standard of data in the prolific Midland Basin. This 342mi2, 300+ fold broadband 3D wide-azimuth survey provides superior imaging for greater understanding of the reservoir, with low-frequency bandwidth beginning at 3Hz.

Following the success of the Hobo survey, CGG is currently acquiring the Gypsy survey, also targeting the oil-bearing Permian formations, covering approximately 293 mi2 centered on Martin County, Texas. The full ROP will also be delivered for this state-of-the-art integrated survey.
