The benchmark for petrophysics, rock physics, facies analysis and statistical mineralogy. Collaborative multi-well log analysis made easy for better drilling decisions.
Water is vital to human existence on Earth. Understanding the distribution and quality of groundwater allows us to plan for its sustainable use, or to monitor remedial action.
CGG Multi-Physics’ contribution to groundwater mapping, or pollution detection and monitoring projects usually involves an airborne electromagnetic (EM) survey. The advantage of data collection from the air is the ease of access to restricted sites where ground data collection is challenging, and the ability to collect data quickly and efficiently. We have been involved in projects that explore for water in remote areas; map salt water intrusions in coastal zones; and identify zones of pollution in abandoned industrial and mining sites.
Useful for larger regional projects, CGG’s fixed wing EM systems are able to cover large areas quickly but still provide near surface resolution. Let CGG Multi-Physics be the workhorse of your water exploration project.
For the highest resolution conductivity data that can be collected from the air, we have a suite of helicopter EM systems for you. Let us tailor a survey that suits your project site and objectives.
The strength of the Multi-Physics offering is the ability to map several unique rock properties and integrate these with multiple complementary data sources as dictated by the geological challenge.
