CGG’s Helitem® provides the only three axis (X,Y,Z) measurement capability for airborne time domain electromagnetic systems ensuring a complete understanding of geology and target geometry. Helitem’s receiver technology provides exceptionally low noise measurements of the induced field in the presence of an enormously powerful transmitted field (2.0 million A.m2). This provides depth of exploration and target sensitivity surpassing competitor helicopter time domain EM system capabilities.

The advantage of data collection from the air is the ease of access to remote sites where ground data collection is challenging, and the ability to collect data quickly and efficiently over your entire license area. The Helitem® time domain electromagnetic system provides significant geological information for exploration projects where the target zones are conductive.

CGG’s Helitem® with Multipulse® time-domain electromagnetic system, combines a high-powered half-sine pulse with a quick turn-off square wave pulse into a single complex waveform. This results in improved near surface resolution and sensitivity to weakly conductive targets while maintaining excellent depth of penetration and sensitivity to strong, deep conductors. The Multipulse® airborne system fills a niche by providing resolving power from surface to depth. The system can benefit many mineral exploration applications.
