This course covers the theory and practical use of EMERGE, GeoSI and ProAZ, interactive programs that are fully linked to the HRS suite of software. Topics covered include:
• Seismic Attribute Analysis - Provides a comprehensive review of how to use seismic attributes to build
robust relationships for prediction of petrophysical volumes
• Introduction to stochastic inversion and lithology prediction through multiple plausible realizations
• Advanced reservoir characterization - Explains on how to perform Azimuthal AVO analysis, the relationship
between fractures and anisotropy

Learning Objectives

• Provides a mechanism for the user to derive complex relationships between seismic attributes and
petrophysical parameters
• Application of neural network technology in well log prediction, petrophysical volume generation and
seismic lithology classification
• Basic introduction to theory and practical use of stochastic inversion
• Provides a comprehensive look at the theory and application of the AVAZ method, a method increasing
interest with the growing importance for unconventional and fractures reservoirs
