Bayou Boeuf 3D
The Bayou Boeuf 3D survey, a joint venture with Fairfield Geotechnologies, is a seismic survey covering 547 square miles in Rapides, Evangeline, and Avoyelles parishes, Louisiana. It is one of the highest quality seismic surveys acquired to date in Louisiana, with source line spacings of 1,540 ft and receiver line spacings of 1,100 ft. It was acquired and processed in July 2020 and November 2020 respectively. An advanced imaging sequence was applied to these data that includes both land surface-related multiple elimination (LSRME) and orthorhombic pre-stack time migration.
Best-in-class imaging reveals subsurface complexity
The primary hydrocarbon-bearing formation in the area is the Austin Chalk, which is sealed by the Midway group. The chalk is a relatively complex formation with varying levels of both faulting and fracturing. The Bayou Boeuf 3D seismic survey illuminates some of these subsurface complexities allowing for a more data-driven approach to drilling.

Haynesville Merge 3D
CGG’s large Haynesville Merge 3D survey, optimally located in the core of the Haynesville shale formation, totals an industry-leading 1,845 square miles of contiguous data. CGG’s geophysicists use leading processing technology to achieve an unprecedented high-resolution window into the subsurface for resource development and CCS applications.

High-resolution window into the subsurface
Haynesville Merge 3D best-in-class, high-resolution imagery enables an unprecedented look into the Haynesville Shale, Boisser, Cotton Valley and Smackover formations. Deliverables include a 5D orthorhombic OVT (offset vector tile) pre-stack time migration.
