We have a wide range of field experience, from geological field mapping to complement our satellite interpretation work, to the installation of radar reflectors to assist with monitoring surface deformation.

Our staff have performed field work across Europe (including UK, Italy, Spain, Germany, Greece and Slovenia), Africa (including Tunisia, Ethiopia, Namibia, Morocco, Tanzania), Middle East, Asia and North America.

In addition to standard field techniques, such as dip and fracture orientation analysis, sample collection, sedimentary stream section logging and structural analysis, our field geologists use a Portable Infrared Mineral Analyser (PIMA) spectral analyser to check and map alteration mineral assemblages.

Where there is a requirement for surface deformation monitoring our remote sensing specialists have experience in the design, manufacture and deployment of artificial corner reflectors. Our reflectors are typically used in regions that lack optimal radar scatterers (e.g. man-made structures). Our reflectors have been deployed in the UK, Europe and Asia to monitor landslide-prone slopes and the stability of pipelines.
