CGG has recently commenced a large-scale Gulf of Mexico reimaging campaign and, as part of that campaign, we are taking our StagSeis data sets to the next level with our industry-leading Time-lag FWI.
The original long-offset, full azimuth, broadband data sets offer the most ideal input for Time-lag FWI. With an improved velocity model, we can fine tune the salt and sediment models which result in even better imaging of this challenging area.
Building on the StagSeis success story, this new project covers approximately 13,900 sqkms and initial results show stunning improvements with better definition of highly complex salt bodies and subsalt layers.
Final products will be available soon, including a TTI RTM PSDM, a 7Hz FWI velocity model and a 7Hz FWI image.
