CGG has completed acquisition of its Gini 3D survey. This 481 square mile, 300+ fold broadband 3D wide-azimuth survey was acquired using HPVA high-productivity slip-sweep simultaneous vibroseis sources with advanced broadband EmphaSeis™ technology and multi-component recording.
The survey is located in the Delaware Basin and designed to provide superior imaging of the Wolfcamp shale, with low-frequency bandwidth beginning at 3Hz for greater understanding of the reservoir.
The data is being processed through an azimuthally compliant sequence to be suitable for geomechanics and forms a valuable addition to CGG's technologically advanced multi-client data library in West Texas.
The processing sequence for Gini includes:
The preliminary PSTM is available now, the OVT PSTM will be available in May 2019, and the final Kirchhoff PSDM in July 2019.
