CGG's technologically advanced multi-client data library in West Texas includes four individual seismic surveys located in the Midland Basin. The Hobo, Gypsy, Rock Tank and East Hammer surveys target multiple horizons of Permian age, including the Spraberry and Wolfcamp formations.

Final processed time volumes (Orthorhombic Kirchhoff PSTM) from our wide-azimuth, broadband, 3D multi-client surveys, Hobo and Gypsy, are available for license, representing a new standard of data in the Midland Basin. They provide superior imaging for greater understanding of the reservoir, with low-frequency bandwidth beginning at 3Hz. CGG has also purchased rights to the East Hammer and Rock Tank surveys and time volumes for these are also available for license.
The newest addition to CGG's West Texas library is the Hobo Merge. Creating a 658 square mile data set, Hobo, Gypsy, Rock Tank and East Hammer have been merged together and migrated in depth using a state-of-the-art processing sequence. With meandering channels and unique geological structures throughout the data set, this new TTI Kirchhoff PSDM provides improved imaging, allowing our clients to make more informed drilling decisions. Final products are now available.
For detailed analysis of the area, the standard-alone Hobo and Gypsy surveys also offer a full Reservoir Packages (ResPacks), using our integrated geoscience products including:
Our Reservoir Packages combine geology, geophysics, petrophysics, geomechanics and geochemistry to generate predictive reservoir models, reducing risk, optimizing development and maximizing recovery with improved well performance.
