CGG Multi-Physics has over 20 years’ experience in collecting, processing, and interpreting marine gravity and magnetic data worldwide. Our modern acquisition systems, and dedicated staff, allow you to acquire marine gravity and magnetic data in conjunction with seismic surveys as an aid to interpreting complex geology. Furthermore, CGG is able to collect gravity and magnetic data on vessels that are doing coring studies or performing bathymetric surveys.
While data acquisition systems are important, so are the logistics and safety considerations of our operations. Marine gravity and magnetic data acquisition is a budget friendly way to gather additional geophysical information about your license area. As part of CGG our commitment to meeting our client’s schedules, operating safely, and leaving as small an environmental footprint as possible is assured.

All of our marine gravity and magnetic surveys are subject to the INTEGRAV™ project management system. This keeps you fully informed during all stages of the project, from survey planning, through to delivery of final products. Especially important during the data acquisition phase is the provision of snapshots for data quality verification.
Besides collecting your marine gravity and magnetic data, CGG Multi-Physics can also process and interpret this data for you using a collection of proprietary and commercial software packages. Of course, integration of all your geophysical data is crucial, and to this end CGG developed a comprehensive toolkit - LCTSEIS-3D. This module of our successful LCT suite of software allows the application of high-resolution gravity and magnetic data to seismic velocity modeling.
The value of integrating multiple geophysical and geological datasets is at the core of the Multi-Physics philosophy. When this is combined with the efficiency of collecting gravity and magnetic data in conjunction with your seismic, it allows explorers to continue pushing the boundaries of discovery despite the tough realities of our industry.
The strength of the Multi-Physics offering is the ability to map several unique rock properties and integrate these with multiple complementary data sources as dictated by the geological challenge.
