BroadSeis™ combines leading equipment, unique acquisition techniques and proprietary deghosting and imaging technology to enable the majority of the streamer to be towed deeper than other acquisition systems, down to 50m . This deep towed spread extends the weather window for greater operational efficiency and faster turnaround during marginal conditions as weather-related noise from the streamers is no longer a limiting factor, and has the additional advantage of recording the lowest frequencies in the industry.
Sentinel solid streamers can be towed deeper than other streamers and are also quieter than others due to the patented design isolating the hydrophone from the stress members. Due to the deep tow of the majority of the receivers using BroadSeis, only the nearest offsets are significantly affected by weather-related noise. The noise tends to be incoherent in the receiver domain and can therefore be attenuated using standard techniques.
Our experienced people make the difference, being knowledgeable, reliable and open, with the resources and expertise to go the extra mile.
